Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Nairobi. Travel along the scenic Nairobi–Mombasa Road on a 5–6 hour drive to Tsavo West. Upon arrival, check in at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge and enjoy lunch while watching wildlife gather at the lodge’s waterhole. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive, exploring the rugged beauty of Tsavo West, including the Shetani Lava Flows and sightings of elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. Return to the lodge in time for sunset, followed by dinner and relaxation under the starlit sky.

Day 2: Tsavo West – Full-Day Safari & Mzima Springs

Start with an early morning game drive when predators and grazers are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast before visiting the famous Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters and an underwater viewing chamber reveal hippos and colorful fish in their natural habitat. After lunch, embark on another game drive to track the park’s diverse wildlife. In the evening, enjoy a guided nature walk with a local expert to learn about the flora and fauna. End the day with dinner and storytelling by the bonfire.

Day 3: Tsavo West to Nairobi

Take in the magic of the African sunrise with a final early morning game drive, capturing your last photographs of Tsavo’s wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Begin your drive back to Nairobi, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your safari adventure.
