Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu (Shaba National Reserve)

Meet and greet services upon arrival in Nairobi or pickup from your hotel at 07:30 AM by your driver-guide. Drive north through Kenya’s dramatic landscapes into the northern frontier district, arriving in Shaba National Reserve. After check-in and lunch at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, embark on your first afternoon game drive, exploring the reserve known for its unique wildlife such as Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and reticulated giraffe. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu & Shaba Game Drives

Start with an early morning game drive (around 6:15 AM), when predators and wildlife are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, followed by leisure time—relax by the pool or take an optional nature walk. After lunch, head out for another late afternoon game drive, giving you another chance to spot elephants, lions, leopards, and Samburu’s rich birdlife (over 350 species). In the evening, enjoy entertainment at the lodge before dinner. Overnight stay at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.

Day 3: Shaba to Nairobi

Enjoy a final morning game drive, adding more wildlife sightings to your checklist before checking out. Begin your return journey to Nairobi, with a lunch stop along the way. Arrive back in the city in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped at your hotel or the airport.
